Welcome to the online home of the
Edwardsville Illinois Kennel Club!

Our Mission

To further the advancement of all breeds of pure-bred dogs.

To do all in our power to protect and advance the interests of all breeds of pure-bred dogs
and to encourage sportsman-like competition at dog shows and obedience trials.

To conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, and obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

Our Interests

Public Education - Kennel club members often visit area schools with their dogs as well as man informational booths at fairs and festivals.

Training Classes - EIKC sponsors a conformational training class to prepare you for showing your dog. Obedience courses are periodically offered as well.

Canine-Related Legislation - Club members track all legislation that affects pet ownership as well as breeding programs; recommendations are made to public officials when necessary.

Canine Health - EIKC helps to support various health foundations and research devoted to stamping out the diseases which plague many of our pets today.

Competitive Events - Members participate with their dogs in various types of events including such things as Conformation, Lure Coursing, Racing, Tracking, Agility, and Obedience

Fun with the Dogs - Kennel club members can often be found at pet shows or walk-a-thons with their favorite furry friends participating in events which raise money for charities or just provide fun and entertainment.
